NeXolve was part of the NASA and industry team that developed the NASA JWST. NeXolve has developed and delivered the SMA. The SMA is a tennis court-size, precision-shaped, doubly curved, 5 layer thin film structure that, when deployed, prevents the sun from shining directly on the Optical Telescope Experiment (OTE). NeXolve also provides integration and test support to the JWST team.
NeXolve is part of the NASA and industry team that is developing the NASA James Webb Space Telescope. NeXolve has developed and delivered the MCA.
The MCA is a thin film cover that wraps around the packaged JWST and protects the SMA during payload/launch vehicle integration and launch operations. NeXolve also provides integration and test support to the JWST team.
NeXolve has developed and delivered satellite thermal blankets that also act as sun shields. Not only do these blankets help to control the satellite thermal environment, but they also have ablative coatings that allow specific RF bands to be transmitted and/or received while the blankets are integrated.
